Farm in the City

The county Farm Bureau (CFB) wanted to create a project that would bring agriculture awareness to the urban community they serve.  An existing relationship with the local children’s museum was identified as a starting point for a long term opportunity for engagement with families. A five-year exhibit on the museum’s main floor called “Farm in the City” was developed. The exhibit focused entirely on agriculture and major themes of crop production, animal care, and local food.  Planning for the exhibit began in early 2016 with the grand opening in January of 2017.
