Prairie Plot

Blaine County Farm Bureau is applying for this grant to partner with the Sandhills Heritage Museum and the Sandhills FFA, our Connecting Chapter. The museum is developing outdoor displays around the museum to be viewed by visitors.

A Prairie Plot of Native Grasses and Forbes with identification stakes would be a beautification and educational display. The FFA Chapter would provide needed labor help and plant knowledge for the project.

The Sandhills Heritage Museum is located in Dunning which is on the Sandhills Journey National Scenic Byway. This Byway became a National Scenic Byway this spring. The designation is projected to greatly increase travelers to this area of Nebraska. The Museum and Outdoor Displays will provide an enjoyable stop for tourists as well as residents of the area.
